Executive Summary

CRBG led Thursday’s conviction flow — $5.3M in $29 calls bought (Oct 16), blowing OI from 11 to 32,338 contracts in a single session on the insurer trading at $27.07. Ford followed with $6.6M in directional call premium across Jul 17 and May 29 expiries, targeting 19–26% upside from $14.26 via risk reversals and outright call buying. In semiconductors, TSEM drew $24.3M in a Jun 18 $280/$330 call spread targeting 20% upside, while MXL saw $3.7M in clean Sep 18 $95 calls lifted on the offer. Cybersecurity printed the day’s strongest thematic signal — CRWD $500 calls bought and PANW $185 calls bought drove $74M in 71%-bull theme premium.

Energy was the only sector where genuine call buying dominated over background overwriting, running 72% bull behind XOM and XLE. Consumer Cyclical was the weakest at 52%, dragged by $54.2M in TSLA Sep 18 $440 puts. EV & Auto was the sole bearish theme at 45%. Technology absorbed $1.4B in premium but overwriting ruled the tape; the notable outlier was NVDA’s massive Jun 2028 call accumulation ($186M+ across $210–$225 strikes), long-dated conviction at institutional scale.

SPY closed at $748.17 with aggregate flow split nearly 50/50 on $454M in premium — today is monthly OpEx, and the near-term tape is noise. The real positioning lives further out: an 11.7K $730/$695 put spread (Jun 5, ~$4.1M debit) targets a 7% drawdown, while $740 puts bought (Jun 5, $2.5M) reinforce the downside lean. SPX structured flow ran net bullish ($33.3M vs $23.2M), and massive put-selling at $7500 (SPY ~$750) defends the floor into next week. The $745–$750 zone is the gravitational center through June.
